JEWELRY CARE
Make it last a lifetime.
We’ve put together some tips to help you care for your jewelry and ensure it lasts.
GENERAL TIPS
Removing jewelry for high-intensity activities will go a long way. Diamonds may be forever, but small precautions such as these will ensure that.
Remove any rings when washing your hands or cleaning as soaps and cleaning agents can be a bit harsh and may cause wear to your fine jewelry pieces.
CLEANING & STORAGE
We recommend cleaning your jewelry as needed, or roughly 2-3 times a year.
For silver or gold: Using a soft cloth or toothbrush dipped in warm soapy water, gently scrub the metal, rinse, and dry.
For brass or bronze: Use a treated polishing cloth to remove tarnish or oxidation. You can find polishing cloths here: https://juliecristellojewelry.com/collections/all-jewelry/products/sunshine-polishing-cloth.
Store your jewelry in a clean, dry, safe space. The goal is to avoid constant tangling of chains as this can weaken the links (and can be a pain to get untangled!). For instance, keep each piece in its own cotton bag. Make sure your stones are stored somewhere cool and dry.
STONE JEWELRY
If a stone breaks, we can replace the stone (if still available) for a charge. Stone replacements are not complimentary.
